What To Expect
Our weight loss challenges range from as little as five participants to as many as twenty-five. Normally, the first 30 minute is focusing on private weight and measurements by one of our weight loss coaches. One of our biggest reasons why we measure each and every week is because one week you can lose weight and the next you might only lose inches. You want to lose inches because inches mean you’re losing fat! The last thirty minutes focuses on our classroom lesson which you will need to bring your notebook and pen. Some materials or articles may be handed out for education and motivation purposes. Our classes are interactive so we like to ask our students that lost the most weight or inches if they can share what they did to achieve that result. We also provide weekly prizes to those who lose the most weight or inches for that week. When class comes to an end depending on how much time is left I like for our students to share one or two things they’re going to do in the upcoming week to help them with their weight loss goals.
So let’s start by giving you some facts about a global epidemic. The most important thing you need to know is that you’re not alone. Today more than 67% of the population in the world is overweight. In our children, close to 20% are overweight with ages ranging from 5-17 years of age. We must lead by example! If we want our children to be healthy then we need to take some kind of action to show them a healthier and happier lifestyle by making better choices and discipline regarding food intake and exercise. YES! It starts with you! By you working on yourself and your weight loss goals by joining one of our challenges then your family will follow. It’s proven when mommy and daddy go on a diet so does the children. WHY! Isn’t it true that we do the food shopping? Absolutely! We are going to teach you everything within our weight loss challenge how to take charge of your household and say no to the foods that are keep you overweight, unhealthy, and depressed. Yes it’s a global epidemic, but you and your family don’t need to be included. Another fact is that by being overweight we are at risk for the three biggest killers in America today: Heart Attack, Stroke, and various cancers. In an article it states that by being overweight 60% of the population is at risk of developing type 2 diabetes, 20% hypertension and coronary heart disease. The article also states that between 10%-30% of the population are developing various cancers. Some of you may be thinking that my whole family is overweight. It must be in our genes! Well its true 30% is in our genes, but 70% is in diet, exercise, and how we think about our food choices! Why
If you haven’t registered yet then let’s talk about how by being overweight is or can be affecting your everyday living. Our everyday living is basically made up of a few simple necessities we need each day. First, let’s talk about our job and performance. Wouldn’t you agree that by being at a healthy weight that you would be able to accomplish more tasks in less time throughout the day? Absolutely! The second most important thing to us is probably our personal life and how by being at a healthy weight helps when it comes time for family gathering, meeting new people or an outing with the family. So any times clients came to me and said to me. I need to lose weight by X because my family is coming to town or I am going to a wedding etc. It can be very stressful being overweight and worrying about your appearance. A lot of our clients became antisocial and gave excuses why they can’t go to certain group activities just because of how they looked in the mirror. If you can relate to this then Register Now. Can it be true that by being overweight can affect our sleeping pattern? Yes it can! In an article it states by being overweight you are more proned to get sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, snoring or taking long periods of time to fall asleep. G & R Wellness is based out of Kingston NY. Our company has been helping our clients lose weight safely and naturally for over 13 years. We provide a 12 week program called weight loss challenges that help individuals kick start their weight loss goals through a proper diet and exercise routine with weekly weigh ins to keep individuals focused on their weight loss goals. We are dedicated and committed to each individual’s weight loss goals through one on one coaching on the phone, texting, or at the office. We believe that our success rate is so high because of our clients will have a plan to follow each day along with a minimum of two calls a week to follow up to see how you’re doing with your weight loss goals. G & R Wellness weight loss coaches believe that it’s important that our clients stay in the right frame of mind and focus on the end result. For example if you have 50lbs to lose then you need to focus on losing 2-4lbs a week.
